Michael Bay 2012 was going to be called A war of souls according to rumours that started back in 2007.

Somewhere along the way, again according to internet rumours, Michael Bay the director of films like Bad Boys, The Rock, Armageddon, Transformers and other films bought the rights to Whitley Strieber's 2012 - The War of Souls best selling novel and was working on a script along those lines for a movie due to be released in 2010.

However we found an article on WP worstpreviews.com that reports that

Michael Bay's "2012" thriller is dead 

Like the book, the movie plot would have been about two families who co exist in two dimensions where one of the parallel universe beings contacts his other world reality to stop the end of the world which in turn would alter the revelation of the Mayan end of time calendar prophecy.

This article from WP was posted on May 22, 2009 just a few months before Roland Emmerich's 2012 fantasy film was released.

WP is probably accurate has we can find no mention of any of this on Michael Bay 's website.

I have but never to the end. Somehow I lost interest at the part when the two families start shifting from one dimension to the next through the woods. I wasn't even aware that Strieber had put out a book called 2012: The War for Souls and that the best selling novel was being made into a movie due to be released under the same name in 2010.

So what can be expected from Whitley Strieber's movie 2012 - The War of Souls.

Another end time scenario is averted

Yet another end time scenario is averted as science fiction writers go for saving the earth from apocalyptic disaster in 2012 Supernova once again by making use of the good old nuclear technology to annihilate the space debris.

The movie 2012 Supernova is plugged with the following line.

When a star in a nearby galaxy becomes unstable and goes supernova, an astrophysicist puts together a dangerous and desperate plan to shield the Earth from the destructive burst of radiation heading toward it.

The idea behind this scifi is that 200 years in the past a nearby star exploded and some space debris from that explosion is heading straight towards our planet. The Earth is next........

The film is produced by The Asylum and stars Brian Krause and Heather McComb.

2012 SuperNova was released in October of 2009.

What are real time scientists saying about the possibility that a cosmic collision could happen between the earth and a piece of space matter from now to 2012.

About 1 in pick a really really big number....

Take the case of Near Earth Asteroid 433 Eros. There are a few posts on the internet that talk of the potential for this NEA to be the space object that will fulfill the 2012 prophecies of doom for planet earth. Some posts go on to say that January 31, of 2012 is when 433 Eros will pass by this planet.

So off we go in search of scientific proof.

Eros 433 was discovered in 1898 by Gustav Witt.

NASA states that the closest approach to the earth that this potato shaped asteroid that is approximately 20 x 8 x 8 miles which qualifies it in the top 3 NEA's with diameters above 6 miles happened in 1975. It is no threat to actually hit the earth however.

So it would seem that anyone who watches 2012 Supernova might get a kick of seeing how another end time scenario is averted by a hero and is beautiful accomplices but the reality guys are saying just relax cause The Asylum will be making more such scare factor movies in 2013 and beyond.

Fjolårets 12” till rakning, skapligt försenad recension, men det är så jag rullar! A-sidan inleds med ’Det är bara svinen som hörs’, en snabb jävel med bra attack och riv som handlar om vilka det är som får plats i dagens mediasamhälle. Var inte särskilt impad när dom slängde upp den här på deras myspace men det har växt till sig riktigt bra och jag diggar, finfint solo där också!
’Slutstation Snutstation’ en punklåt som inte känns som en punklåt utan har mer rock/metal-stuktur fast ändå egentligen inte är annat än en punklåt. Gillar den delvis men låtstukturen förvirrar mig lite och gör att mitt fokus flyttas från att uppskatta flow, attack och sväng till att snöa in på låtuppbyggnaden, det kanske ska ses som ett plus egentligen förresten!?
’På Giftets Vingar’ Attack och kravallmangel åter igen, bra vev som fan och jag gillar det där ”gammelmetal”-tugget och doom ’n gloompartiet som kommer in i mitten, heavy rock och hardcore är helt klart kompatibelt, mycket bra!
’Applåd med en hand’, midtempo och dubbeltramp, gillar inte första refrängen nått vidare men när den andra går över i tyngre hardrockin’ tongångar är det ju pärla! Gött lite Motorhead-driv/stuk på nått sätt, jag gillar. ’En fot i graven en i klaveret’, redig kravallstänkare med fintfint d-vev, en ganska klassisk A-71-låt tror jag att jag skulle vilja säga, med trevligt solo. ’Sgt Peppers loser hardcore band’, midtempo 4-taktare av rang, bra låt, lustig text och ett jävla sväng, en riktig dänga. Lätt bästa låten på skivan, gillar rockbryggan (eller vad det nu kallas) där också, mycket bra, instant classic i min bok! ’Ad Nauseam’, avslutar plattan fint med gästsång från Gunnar från Avskum, gött stuk på låten, gillar versen speciellt . Anatomi-71 levererar som alltid och på ”Giftets Vingar” finns det mycket som är riktigt gött, personligen så tyckte jag nog om ”Mot nya höjder” lite mer. Som vanligt är det tajt spelat, snyggt layout, bra ljud, bra texter och bra sång, du hajjar…

Putrid Filth kör igen!

Brukar ramla in på Putrid Filth's hemsida några gånger per år för att se om det kommit upp några nyheter, till min stora glädje hade det gjort det den här gången. Rodrigo låter meddela att han kör i gång med PFC igen men bara kommer att släppa sjutummare i begränsad upplaga, 250 ex per platta. Först ut är finn-hc-manglarna Raakakopio från Malmö, bring it on!

Slösurfade runt lite på tuben och halkade från Avskum och Skitkids in på Kontrovers och vidare till Intensity. Jag har alltid gillat Intensity, och gör det fortfarande, gillade att det var hardcore fast hårdare och utan blanka basketshots och fula gympadojjor. I alla fall, hittade den här videon så är riktigt fin, får spinna 'Wash of the lies' ett par varv sen! Håll för övrigt ögonen uppe efter Roddes nya rensband, Quick Fix, som släppt en ensidad 7" på www.adult-crash.com och som har en ny 7" på gång i år på samma bolag.
