The Lost Book of Nostradamus Review

In 1503 Nostradamus is born in France. His name has become infamous when prophecy is mentioned.

The ancient book is rediscovered by Enza Massa while she is attending a bookfair at the Rome National Public Library. The book with the name of Nostradamus on it has added fuel to the fire of passion that is the prophecy of this 500 year old seer. This mysterious book was purchased in 1888 by the National Center Library in Rome and was transferred into the care of the Vatican Library by a man named Pavoli. This mystery according to many of the contributors to the document is expanded as a possible Nostradamus conspiracy where the great seer intended for the manuscripts to be lost until the proper time. ( That is the subjective opinion of these contributors).

The discovery channel has given the book added fame by making a documentary on it and it's relation to the coming age of 2012 and beyond.

This is a review of that documentary. The subject of whether the world will end as these interpreters of Nostradamus prophecy claim is up to the reader to decide whether The History Channel is playing the role of capitalist or not in this matter of exposing the beliefs of this group of authors, scholars, and supporters of Nostradamus prophecy.

The present time is full of signs that tell us something big is about to break. There is famine, terrorism, wars, and rumours of war that are plaguing the world and humanity so the story begins.

Did the late seer Nostradamus see all of these things and those things to come is the question that the writers go on to attempt to answer as they reveal their subjective perspective and interpretation of "The Lost Book of Nostradamus".

The book holds 80 water color images. Ramotti was aware of the lost books of Nostradamus and he refers to the one image of a burning tower to a prophecy pointing the New York 911 attacks on the twin towers and corrolates his stand to quatrain 466 which reads:

Under the feigned color of seven shaven heads (Under the false guise of faith of the seven shaven heads)
Diverse spies will be scattered: (Many saboteurs shall be ?????)
Wells and fountains sprinkled with poisons, (Watering the wells and the fountains with poison)
At the fort of Genoa devourers of men. (Human devourers of the strength of the West)

The initial interpretation of this Quatrain is the way it is presented on the crystalink site of Ellie Crystal while the interpretation between paranthesis is how the documentary presents quatrain 466.

The documentary moves on from there to state how the interpreters feel that the Nostradamus prophecies seem to have a big focus on Muslim/Middle eastern Islamic influence in coming world events. It also fills in the history surrounding the shrouded nature of Nostradamus' prophecies and explains the secrecy as a means for the Seer to protect himself against religious and political persecution in a time when these groups were the oligarchical rulers who would destroy anything that stood against them.

Did Nostradamus have the ability to see the larger paradigm shifts or social cycles as they move humanity through time ? Are these 80 plus images a prophetic work ?

If so, of what use is it to humanity to read anything out of these riddles if there is nothing we can do except to say a man was able to see something that the rest of us can only look back on an say "Wow, i didn't see that one coming". Most things are clear in retrospect so why is there so much fuss over Nostradamus's prophecies?

The documentary states that the drawing seem to be sequential and appear to present a story cautioning the public of events prior to their arrival.

The film goes through images that the interpreters believe are prophecies fulfilled such as 911 and the first and second world wars. Then it goes into some current prophetic images like Plate 77 which some of the interpreters believe represents the current leader of the Catholic Church, Pope Benedict and how women will soon make a stand against this religious group.

Then the documentary goes into some more futuristic prophecies.


Ian Wilson and others go on record stating that they doubt that Nostradamus himself is the person who drew these watercolours claiming that perhaps is son Cesare would have been more artistically inclined to render such works. This debate is also seen at the beginning of the film when the history of the book is brought up.

The interpreters go on to state how Nostradamus has prophecied a future that will soon bring about the end of our known world paradigm and the apocalyptic end which parallels the Biblical catastrophic end time described in the book of Revelation all inclusive with an antichrist figure which they, including Ellie Crystal names has Osama Bin Laden.

The mystery of this book and of Nostradamus's contemporary influence increases when it is revealed that the sixteenth century seer may have been somehow involved with the Christian military guardian group known as The Knights of Templar.
Nostradamus lived within walking distance of St. Michael's church which played a big role in the the protection of sixteenth century Christians. This protection came at the hands of the Templar Knights. The question being investigated by the interpreters is whether or not the Knights broke rank with the Church and put a code on the stones outside of the church indicating when the world would end. If so this would be a complete antithesis to the written word of the Bible where it is stated that no one, not even the apostles or prophets would know the exact moment of the end.
But some interpreters believe that the Knights, perhaps with the help of Nostradamus, showed us exactly when the end of the cosmos is schedualed for.


This brings in the dark rift and the galactic alignment and the thirteenth zodiac sign known has Ophiucus.

This may be the greatest and most fantastic time in human history. The sun lines up with the center of the galaxy for the first time in 26000 years. The constellation Ophiucus somehow opens up some sort of stargate that brings a new light or a final phase of the present and known humanity according to some interpreters of end time and Nostradamus prophecy.

The knowledge of tree of the Garden of Eden will be revealed............or will it???
