Disciples of Prophetic Ink

When tattoo art and prediction combine and reflect the mindset of large groups then you have to start wondering how close some prophecies can be to being fulfilled.
The mark of the beast, 666, 31 13, 21 12. There's is mystery in all of these numbers. What are the odds of two sets of inverted numbers being used in the same prediction. But that's what you have when you consider the Mayan calendrical long count prophecy stating that on the day of the winter solstice, December 21, 2012, or 12 21 12 at precisely 11 11 a cycle that began on 21 12 in the year 31 13 BC is closing. It's all to strange.
Add in some more magic and the story gets even stranger.

Ouroburos is represented by a serpent and ouroburos is symbolized by a snake completing a cycle.Image Hosted by ImageShack.usThe snakes tail is in it's mouth.
The serpent is also represented in the number 8 as an infinity symbol. In some stories relating to Ophiucus and it's neighbouring constellation Serpens, the reptiles are at war over esoteric knowledge of infinite life. Ophiucus is the healing staff and the reptiles of Serpens Caudal and Serpens Cabal fight for domination of Ophiucus.Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Those concepts are seen in the Asclepius and Caduceus schools where you get either a single serpent rising up the staff or a pair of serpents rising up the staff of Ophiucus.
These myths make for great stories and we've all been perpetually exposed to these stories throughout our lifetime.
In infancy it may have been Once Upon a time stories told through the comforting harmonics of a nurturing person. The stories were almost always backed up with vivid images. Eye candy.....
Then we grew up and seperated ourselves from the nurturing bond of a caregiver, not completely seperate, but far enough to feel a sense of self where we could grow our own personality.
The symbols and images never stopped influencing our perception of the "me as opposed to them" , or "me amongst them".
This is not a new concept. Throughout the ages humans have been influenced by body art. Tattoos are a means of expression.
Our mind is shaped by social beliefs. Social groups identify themselves through symbols. Phophecy is everywhere and will continue to be everywhere.
Prophetic Ink is a bit of a cult thing. A tattoo is a rite of passage to some. And some take it to the max.
