Edgar Cayce - Visions of Atlantis

You have to understand that Edgar, who passed away in 1945, was an alternate historian. His wisdom comes from studying the esoteric realm. No scholar would put his name or expensive diplomas on the line to back up the claims of "the Sleeping Prophet". Scientists deal in evidence and plot reality according to what they can quantify. That's reality.
There are however some sciences that deal with the lesser known realm of parapsychology and they are even approaching the subject with electronic gadgets that can measure anomolies in the atmosphere.

It's all very strange but in the years prior to 1945 the paranormal was a very taboo subject that was left in the hands of (heretic) mediums and their oracles, of which many ended up as subject matters in mental institutions; under the proper care and treatments of saner men. Freaky Science!!!!

Modern history teaches us that civilized humans have only been on Earth for a short period of time. This concept is supported by artifacts located in several locations on the globe. Some orthodox religious groups go one further and deny even this mainstream history, stating that humanity has only been around for a much shorter time.

Cayce states that human civilizations have been coming and going in cycles for millions of years. But where's the evidence?

The First Spiritual Temple
Cayce brings up the topic of Atlantis in several of his readings. He states that from the once great continent of Atlantis, Atlanteans explored in all directions. The first of these refugees, become the Pyrenees in North America. This would have occured in a period of great cataclysm on the continent of Atlantis and dates back to c. 50 thousand BC. Then in 28000 BC another such event on Atlantis saw another exodus occur and this group ended up in Central America and the West Indies. Again in 10000 BC another group escaped the wrath of Atlantis and ended up in Egypt. These displaced Atlanteans, according to Cayce were the pyramid builders.
Of course today we have enough evidence to show that great civilizations did develop in intermittent periods in these areas. Yet we can never be certain of the ethnology of the original tribespeople.
Most ancient documents recording the history of these civilizations have been destroyed by natural causes or by reforming ideologies of men. But there are a few archeological artifacts pointing to an Unknown geographical location.

Other alternate historians have worked diligently both through occult methods and natural sciences to pinpoint the origin of the early civilizations. Madame Blavatsky, founder of the Theosophical movement who mixed the days religious dogmatic ideologies with the hermetic qualities of ancient magic to engage her own form of spirituality, was one such alternate historian perplexed by the origins of man and wrote of the bloodlines of the Basques of the Pyrenees, the Berbers of Morocco, and the Guanches of the Canary Islands.

Cayce and Blavatsky both show some correlations in their occult readings of Atlantis.
